The Hospital was established in 1921 with the aim to provide basic delivery facilities to Indian women in a homely atmosphere. Since its inception, we have strived hard to make available the best possible health care facilities to women and children at affordable charges.

At the same time it has been our endeavour to update & upgrade our services/facilities and keep abreast with latest technology and innovations.

In keeping with its tradition, the hospital was at the forefront to give its services during the Covid Pandemic (Dedicated Covid Hospital).

Now after 100 years of its existence, this 60 beded hospital boasts of modern well equipped Operation Theatre, Labour Room having facility of Multipara Monitor, Foetal Monitor, NST/CTG Machine, Oxygen Cylinders, Neonatal Resuscitation Corner, Radiant Warmer.

All routine & complicated surgeries and delivery are done. Separate Operation Theatre is available for infected cases. Separate rooms are provided to high risk patients. Spacious Recovery Room, Emergency Ward, Eclampsia Room, PIH Room, Post Operative Ward, General Ward, Semi Private Ward, Intensive Care Unit & recently renovated private rooms are available. 24×7 availability of doctors is assured.

Adjoining Paediatric inpatient facility is well equipped with incubator, warmer, phototherapy unit, pulse oxymeter, nebulizer, infusion pump. Neonatal ICU gives 24×7 services (Inverter 4 Generator back up is available)

0-12 years children can be admitted.

Services

  • All high risk and complicated surgeries including laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and cryocauterisation are performed at the hospital.
  • Multi-speciality OPD services include paediatric, medical, surgical and dental OPDs.
  • The hospital provides in-house radiological support to its patients. X-Rays, Sonography and Doppler tests are done on latest machines.
  • A pathology laboratory was established in 1928. All pathological tests including tests for diagnosis of cancer can be done at the hospital itself.
  • Its services also include pre-conceptual counselling, ante-natal and post-natal care, family planning services, treatment for infertility, peri-menopausal and post- menopausal guidance and cancer screening.
  • MSACS established an HIV testing centre at the hospital which is functional since 2006.
  • Colposcopy and pap-smear tests are done at minimal rates. Facility of Mammography is also provided to the patients at very reasonable rates.
  • All contraceptive services are provided at minimum rates.
  • Immunisation services for children are provided at the hospital every Tuesday and Friday.
  • Covid Vaccination services 18 years and above of all age are provided at the hospital every Tuesday and Friday.

The hospital, with its high-quality services is empanelled by the government for provision of medical services such as tubectomy and MTP under government schemes. Patients getting treated at the hospital under such schemes can get reimbursement from the government.

Sandhyadeep

In March 2012 on the occasion of World Women’s Day, MSS launched Sandhyadeep, a project for peri-menopausal and post-menopausal women. Under this programme women are provided blood tests (CBC, Sr.TSH, Blood Suger- Routine & Fasting, Lipid Profile), pap-smear, pelvic sonography, colposcopy and mammography at Rs. 5000/- only. This project has received tremendous response till date.
