Matru Sewa Sangh Foundling Home
Matru Sewa Sangh Foundling Home is one of the important activities run under the guidance and patronage of Matru Sewa Sangh with an objective of welfare of orphan and abandoned children. This activity came into existence on 28th Jan. 1982 , under the able guidance of Late Dr. Satyabala Tayal, founder Principal, Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work, Bajaj Nagar and active encouragement of late Dr. Vikram Marwah, the Dean of the Medical College & Hospital, Nagpur. Matru Sewa Sangh, Foundling Home is thus situated in Govt. Medical College and Hospital from last 38 years.
Foundling Home is supporting the basic objective of Matru Sewa Sangh is by taking care of women and new born infants.

- To find a suitable Home for orphan, abandoned babies.
- To facilitate upkeep and maintenance of children.

Objectives
No child should be an orphan and that the child needs love and care.
Certifications of approval
- Recognized by Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA).
- Recognized by State Government under J.J Act as Special Adoption Agency (SAA) for 10 children in the age group of 0 to 6 years.
Facilities
- Foundling Home is registered as Balgruha under J.J. Act and all the facilities are provided to children as per J.J. Act rules.
- Cradles, beds, blankets, sweaters, clothes ,food items are available for children in the age group of 0-6 yrs.
- Nebulizer, emergency lamps, aquaguard, refrigerator, room-heater, washing machine, weighing machine etc.
- Special need children schooling at special institution
- Matru Sewa Sangh Foundling Home is situated in Govt. hospital hence immediate medical facility and therapy available for special children. Dr. Seema Pande Paediatrician visits the foundling home twice a week.
Special Features
- Through foundling home, we have placed 650 childrens in loving, caring families and completed 38 yrs of dedicated service in the field of adoption.
- Maintained good personal relationship with adoptive parents and children .Some parents and children are in touch with us after 20 yrs also.
- Foundling Home have celebrated Silver Jubilee on 19th Jan 2008 and also published souvenir on that occasion recording 25 years of its work.
Activities
- Matru Sewa Sangh Foundling Home works as a Special Adoption Agency as per J.J. Act rules and CARA guidelines.
Pre and Post adoption counselling to unwed mothers, adoptive couples and their families. Updating CARA and other portals, verification of parent’s documents, conducting Home Studies, Follow-ups visit. Post-adoption counselling to adoptive children and families. - Completing legal court procedure of adoption.
- Maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, vaccination for children and try to maintain homely atmosphere for the children in Matru Sewa Sangh Foundling Home.
- Completing Legal Certificate procedure of Adoption and also getting Birth Certificate from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).
